BALINALE

Years running: 18 (since 2007)

BALINALE

Bali International Film Festival.

About

Indonesia's only International Film Festival held annually on the island of Bali. Each year BALINALE features international films and workshops.

BALINALE International Film Festival was established in 2007 by Bali Taksu Foundation to provide an opportunity to invite foreign filmmakers to screen their films while experiencing Indonesia's accommodating culture and locations for possible film locations or story ideas.

The festival also gives Indonesian filmmakers an opportunity to present their work to a global audience while networking with international filmmakers.

Workshops and seminars are an important part of the festival's commitment to the community, a number of which are offered free of charge. Indonesian students and young filmmakers are given an opportunity to learn from established Indonesian and international professionals.
