About

The Provincetown International Film Festival (located in Cape Cod, Provincetown, MA) is dedicated to showcasing new achievements in independent film and honoring the work of acclaimed and emerging directors, producers and actors. PIFF is equally devoted to expanding the audience for independent film and to serving Provincetown with high quality film programming and honorees that reflect the community’s rich diversity. An integral part of PIFF's mission is to contribute to the economic and creative vitality of America's oldest art colony.

Awards

All accepted films are eligible for the Audience Awards.

Other award categories include

  • John Schlesinger Award (presented to a first time feature filmmaker),
  • Emerging Female Filmmaker Award,
  • Jury Awards for Narrative Short, Animated Short, New England Short and Student Short
  • Honorable Mentions bestowed at the discretion of PIFF staff/jury). 

Rules

  • Film must have been completed after January 1, 2023.
  • Feature films may not have been released theatrically, appeared online, or aired on television in the U.S. prior to the festival.
  • Submissions are to be made via Filmfreeway system.
