Docuworld Film Festival

Because great documentaries change the way we see the world.

About

Because great documentaries change the way we see the world, whether they uncover the stories that impact people's everyday lives, illuminate us with the discoveries that promise a better future or shine a light on the lives of our fellow earthlings and the world around us, we dedicate ourselves to exposing films from every corner of the earth, giving a voice to the voiceless.

The Docuworld Film Festival is the festival counterpart of The Breaking-TV Film Festival and is held annually in conjunction with The British Films Market and The Breaking-TV Film Festival.

The Award ceremony will take place on the 13th and 14th of May 2023 at the Whirled Cinema in London, United Kingdom, and will also broadcast live. Awards and Trophies will be delivered for:

Rules

Entries are open to both UK and international filmmakers based outside the UK with two separate tiers of submission.
Films must have been completed in the past 5 years.
You can submit your project to more than one category.

All entries must be in English or contain English subtitles if not in the English language. Non-English entries without subtitles, or supplementary printed translations, can unfortunately not be considered.

By submitting to us, you give us consent and the right to screen your film in front of a live audience, and, under special circumstances, online screening.

The preview format must be a digital online screener. Submit either through a festival submission platform's internal screener (like FilmFreeway) or via a hosting site like Vimeo. If you are unable/unwilling to use digital submission, please contact us and we'll work something out.

If you are submitting more than one entry, a separate submission is required for each film.

The Docuworld Film Festival and The Breaking-Tv Network retain the right to change the date and venue of the festival under special circumstances. All filmmakers will be informed about any changes through email and our online platforms.
The Docuworld Film Festival and The Breaking-Tv Network have the right to use a trailer, stills, and posters for promotional purposes.
By submitting to us you agree to our terms and conditions and to receive marketing newsletters and discounts about film festivals in the form of emails. We will never sell your information to third parties.
