About

The International Movie Festival Ekofilm is dedicated to both non-priofessional and professional public.

Besides the professional competition part of the festival, which will generate the winning movie, there will be also sreenings for school children and the general public.

The visitors of the festival (besides watching movies from all-over-the-world productions, concerning the environment protection, social problems and natural and cultural heritage) are welcome to take part in the accompanying programme: composed projects, theatre performances, knowledge contests, quiz shows, concerts, workshops... Also they can meet interesting personalities from artistic, political or economical sphere.

Competitive and non-competitive screenings, professional conferences, colloquiums, discussions
with film makers, workshops, interactive exhibitions, visual arts happenings and other accompanying actions.

Rules

• Documentary, acted, animated and experimental films focussed on protecting the environment, natural and cultural heritage, issues of sustainable development, changes in consumer patters and other current environmental issues can be registered to participate.
• Works created after 1 January 2023 that have not been screened at previous years of the festival can be registered for the competition sections.
• The runtime and genre is unlimited, and the number of films submitted by one competitor is also unlimited.
• Registered films in preview quality can be delivered for assessment by the expert evaluation committee as an electronic link with a password (preferred by the organiser) via a storage site (Vimeo / YouTube / FTP / ….), or by post on a DVD / Blu-ray carrier.
• Each film must include an English script.
• Register the film online via Filmfreeway.
