The Tribeca Film Festival was founded by Robert De Niro, Jane Rosenthal, Martin Scorsese and Craig Hatkoff to celebrate New York City as a major filmmaking capital and to contribute to the long-term recovery of lower Manhattan after the attacks of September 11, 2001. The festival has been quite successful so far.
In 2017, cash awards totaled $165 000, in addition to over $140 000 in artwork. Awards for the TFF18 may be modified.
December 13, 2017 (6pm ET) – Late Entry deadline available only to those Features (narrative and documentary) completed after the Official Entry deadline and which have not been screened publicly or otherwise distributed anywhere at the time of submission.
