Years running: 19 (since 2006)
International Film Festival.
About
The Sunscreen Film Festival is dedicated to educating the public about the art of visual storytelling, enhancing opportunities for local filmmakers to develop their craft, and increasing the public's awareness and support of local filmmaking as a cultural and economic asset. We believe great storytelling is the core of effective filmmaking, whether the intent is to motivate or simply to entertain an audience. Named one of the top 25 film festivals by MovieMaker Magazine, the Sunscreen Film Festival challenges expectations by providing filmmaker centered programing, networking opportunities, and intensive workshops. All of which truly make Sunscreen one of the "Coolest Film Festivals" in the U.S.
In 2013 the festival expanded to Los Angeles and now holds the Florida version in the spring and the Los Angeles version in the fall each year.
