About
One of the best organized short film festivals in North America. Dedicated staff, short film programs of all genres, with the addition of panels and a market DVD library. All of the submitted shorts are available for accredited industry, including a considerable number of buyers, sales agents, festival. A good place to network.
All first place winners in the non-student Live Action and Animation categories, and the Best of the Fest Award winner will automatically become eligible for nomination consideration by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in the short film categories.
All films submitted, whether screened in the Festival or not, are automatically included in the Market.
Awards
The Festival has 17 competitive categories with prize money and services valued at over $70 000. First place winners in the Non-student Animation, Non-student Documentary and Non-student Live-Action categories, as well as the Best of the Festival Award winner will automatically become eligible for nomination consideration by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in the short film categories.
