About
Founded in 2003 by the American Film Institute and Discovery Channel, SILVERDOCS has already gained the status of being the US version of Hot Docs while still keeping its familiar atmosphere. The three-day International Documentary Conference, held concurrently with the festival, was launched in 2005. It offers workshops, seminars and networking events.

Rules
- Documentaries must have been completed after 28 February 2019.
- Submissions are to be made via Filmfreeway system.
- SILVERDOCS will cover the costs of the return shipping after the Festival.
