About

The objective of Visions du Réel is to show the world as it is perceived, to break away from the mainstream. All the players of the brand Visions du Réel are mobilised to ensure a very high level of quality in their work and to contribute to the common good. The Festival offers a diversity of committed and inspired points of view whilst making it possible to correlate experiences, reflections and aspirations.

Awards

• The Sesterce d’Or for the best feature film (CHF 20.000) of the International Competition
• The Jury Prize for the most innovative feature film (CHF 10.000) of the International Competition
• The Sesterce d’Or for the best medium-length film (CHF 10.000) of the International Competition
• The Jury Prize for the most innovative medium-length film (CHF 5.000) of the International Competition 
• The Sesterce d’Or for the best short film (CHF 5.000) of the International Competition
• The Jury Prize for the most innovative short film (CHF 2.500) of the International Competition
• The Sesterce d’Argent Prix du Public to the best feature film of the Grande Angle section (CHF 10.000). 
• The Interreligious Jury, composed of four people of different confessions, will award a feature film of the International Competition that sheds light on issues dealing with meaning and sense of direction in life (CHF 5.000).
• The Youth Jury, composed of students from the region, awards the Youth Jury Prize to the most innovative medium length film (CHF 5,000)
• Youth Jury Prize to the most innovative short film (CHF 2,500) in the International Medium Length and Short Film Competition.

Rules

• Productions may not be older than one year.
• For the competitive sections: world, international or European premieres. Priority is given to world premieres.
• Subtitles language: english and/or french

Documents and Other Requisite Items

• Fill in the entry form.
• Pay entry fee of CHF 20.
• The preselection material can either be a password protected online link or two DVD copies.

Premiere Requirements

Continental premiere required.
