About

The Dawson City International Short Film Festival (DCISFF) opens its arms to a migration of film lovers and filmmakers for a four-day celebration of short film. Over the course of these four days, the festival presents films of all genres and from around the world as well as those made in the Yukon. Special events such as panel discussions, meet and greets, workshops, and awards continue to boost professional contacts and marketing opportunities for filmmakers, providing a unique networking environment.

Rules

  • All films (including Yukon made) must be 30 minutes or less in length. 
  • Films completed after January 1, 2022 are eligible. 
  • Films in any language other than English must be subtitled in English. 
  • Industrial films, music videos and public service announcements are not eligible. 
  • Submit via Filmfreeway system.

All submissions must be accompanied by the following items:

  • a completed entry form, 
  • a NTSC DVD (Region 1) for pre-screening or a video link. We also accept online screeners through filmfreeway.com (see links above).
  • a short description of the film (50 words) 
  • a 300 DPI jpg from the film (4” x 3”) 
  • submission fee. (No fees for filmmakers from Yukon, Northwest Territories or Nunavut)
