Brussels Short Film Festival

About

This festival is an exhibition intended for lovers of cinema, both audience and professionals. It's purpose is to promote and circulate short films and to generate contacts between audience, young directors and professionals.

There are 3 competitions : 

• National Competition
• International Competition
• Student Films Competition “Next Generation”

Awards

International Competition:

• «Grand Prix»: €3500
• Special Jury Prize : €1000
• Best actress Prize: €1000
• Best actor Prize: €1000
• Audience Prize: €1500

+ acquisition of the film for TV channels.

Rules

• Films have to not exceed 30 minutes in length. All genres are accepted
• Films have to be produced (or the 1st public exhibition) after November 1, 2022
• Films may not have already been submitted to the selection committee

Documents and Other Requisite Items

• Complete the online submission and upload the film to Reelport, Short Film Depot or Festhome.
• Attach one still of the film which can be used in any publication, a photo of the director.

Films submitted to selections for the competitions will automatically be indexed in the market catalogue and viewable by professionals attending the market.

Extracts of the selected films (limited to 15% of the length) may be broadcast on TV channels and on the Internet for publicity purposes. In this case, a Beta copy of the film may be required by the Festival and will be returned later.

In case of loss or deterioration of a hard drive during the festival, the festival’s responsibility is only committed to replace a hard drive with a value inferior or equivalent to 50€. 

Selected films directors will receive an accreditation for the Festival. This accreditation may not be used by a third party.
