Next Generation

About

Organised as a part of the Brussels Short Film Festival, the “Next Generation” Festival is an exhibition intended for lovers of cinema, both audience and professionals. The purpose is to promote and circulate student short films and to generate contacts between audience, young directors and professionals.

Awards

Many prizes will be assigned for the Next Generation Competition for a value of 9000€, including broadcasting rights on TV channels. 

Rules

• Films have to be produced by students attending a film school;
• Films have to be produced (or the 1st public exhibition) after November 1, 2021.

Documents and Other Requisite Items

• Fill out entry form,
• Download video via Internet, using Short Film Depot or Festhome.
• Attached files: оne still of the film which can be used in any publication and a photo of the director.

A Short Film Market is organized during the Festival. Films submitted to selections for our competitions will automatically be indexed in the market catalogue and viewable by professionals attending the market. 

Extracts of the selected films may be broadcast on TV channels and on the internet in the context of divulging information regarding the Festival. In this case, a Beta copy of the film may be required by the Festival and will be returned later.

During the next festival, the winner films could be shown one time during a free screening under the marquee.
