About
Arpa International Film Festival is a dynamic and important destination for filmmakers wishing to screen in Los Angeles - and develop careers in Hollywood. Dedicated to cultivating cultural understanding and global empathy, Arpa serves as a forum for local and international cinema. Arpa focuses on the work of filmmakers who explore the issues of war, genocide, diaspora, exile, environmentalism, and multi-culturalism - issues that are extremely relevant to the community of Los Angeles Armenians that founded the festival, and to the global community at large. Through film screenings, panel discussions, and networking events Arpa bridges cultural divides by fostering dialogue amongst people of diverse ethnicities and lifestyles. Finally, Arpa celebrates the ideals of independent thought, artistic vision and social understanding.
