Un Festival c’est trop court

International Short Film Festival.

About

The festival has five main objectives:

  • Promote European directors, whether experienced or not, through a competition of around forty short films;
  • Focus on diversity and evolution of new images; 
  • Aware audience, particularly youth, of film and video culture, through debates with authors and experts;
  • Highlight the film history and heritage of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur (P.AC.A) region (South France);
  • Promote actions for short films within the area of P.A.C.A.

Program

  • For the European Competition, the selection committee chooses around forty films (fiction, animation, documentary or experimental), scheduled in eight programs;
  • For the “Courts d’Animations” competition (Francophone European films), the selection committee chooses around fifteen animated films (from cinema or animation schools), scheduled in one program;
  • For the “Courts d’Ici” competition (films directed and produced in French PACA region), the selection committee chooses around fifteen films, scheduled in three programs; 
  • For the “Experience” competition, the selection committee chooses around twenty films, scheduled in two programs (experimental, essay, new images…).

Awards

Five different juries will give awards and mentions with no dotation:

  • European Competition Jury
  • Student Jury
  • Courts d’ici Jury
  • Animation Jury
  • Experience Jury

Rules

European competition:

  • Any genre,
  • Maximum running time: 59 minutes,
  • Films completed after: 1st of January 2023,
  • Screening format: DCP COPIES UNLESS IT IS CLEARLYMENTIONED WE NEED ANOTHER FORMAT.
  • Countries of Production: Albania, Germany, Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Belorussia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Croatia, Denmark, Spain, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Iceland, Italy, Kosovo, Latvia, Lithuania, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Macedonia, Malta, Moldavia, Monaco, Montenegro, Norway, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Czech Republic, Romania, the United Kingdom, San Marino, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine.

"Courts d'animation" competition:

  • This competition is open to student films (Lenght: ≤ 59 minutes) from European schools from countries listed below:

    Albania, Germany, Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Belorussia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Croatia, Denmark, Spain, Estonia,Finland, France, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Iceland, Italy, Kosovo, Latvia, Lithuania, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Macedonia, Malta,Moldavia, Monaco, Montenegro, Norway, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Czech Republic, Romania, the United Kingdom, SanMarino, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine

Experience competition:

  • Genre: Experimental, Art video
  • Maximum running time : 60 minutes
  • Films completed after: 1st of January 2022
  • Screening format : Digital QuickTime file (ProRes or H264)
  • Countries of Production : Albania, Germany, Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Belorussia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Croatia, Denmark, Spain, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Iceland, Italy, Kosovo, Latvia, Lithuania, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Macedonia, Malta, Moldavia, Monaco, Montenegro, Norway, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Czech Republic, Romania, the United Kingdom, San Marino, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine.

The on-line registration is made via the short film registration platform on www.filmfestplatform.com.
