Our goal
«Sochi Film Festival» is an annual cultural event dedicated to strengthening the improvement of communication between people of different cultures through the art of cinema and moving images. We hold free festivals for citizens of Sochi, providing access to world-class cinema. We are striving to enrich the Russian cultural environment by presenting the film in a context that stimulates discussions and discussions.
We are increasing the cultural assets of the city of Sochi and its guests, showing a film from around the world. We also strive to promote a deeper understanding of diverse cultures from around the world, thereby contributing to the identity and orientation of Sochi as an international city.
This year's theme for our film festival «New Cinematographers» and should solve new beginnings: as new directors, new MBA students, new scenarios. We are looking for creative quality of art and short films that meet our requirements.

Awards

All participants who have passed the selection and entered the competition program are awarded with a diploma and laurels of the festival participants.

Winners in the categories also receive diplomas and laurels of the winners of the festival.

Rules

Rules for applying to the festival
Please carefully read the application rules and fill out the form below!

Organizer: "Sochi Film Festival" - Autonomous Non-Commercial Organization in the Field of Arts Development "Festival Plus".

The film's production date must be no more than 2 years old at the time of the festival
(in other cases, a Russian Federation distribution certificate is required)

The film does not have to be a premiere.

Duration must not exceed 120 minutes
(exceptions may be made upon agreement with the organizer)

"Festival Plus" has no restrictions on film genres and directions.
All films selected for the festival must not violate the laws of the Russian Federation and moral and ethical norms of humanity.
Attention: Films that call for violence, political provocations and unrest, various banned sects and movements, obscene language, drugs, and the like will not be selected and will not become participants in festivals.

The festival selection committee conducts the initial selection, then all materials are reviewed by the jury. The jury only considers films whose authors have paid the entry (organizational) fee.

The entry (organizational) fee is mandatory for all (funds go to organizing the event). The entry (organizational) fee is non-refundable and does not guarantee a 100% showing of the film at the festival. There are no exemptions from the entry fee.
Full-length films of all genres (running time over 60 minutes), fee - 5000 rubles.
Short films of all genres (running time less than 60 minutes), fee - 4000 rubles.
Films from children's film schools, students of specialized universities, cadet schools, and public organizations, fee - 3000 rubles.
Scripts, comics, fee - 3500 rubles.

The organizer guarantees that it will not transfer copies of the full version of the film to third parties without the consent of the copyright holder and the signing of a contract, showing the full version of the film only within the framework of the festival. Other submitted materials (trailer, poster, etc.) are entitled to be used everywhere for advertising and information. Demonstration of the film outside the festival framework, only with the consent of the copyright holder.

Festival participants must independently send us a copy of their film in any digital format, online. (links must be active until the start of the festival) Films selected for screening at the festival must undergo all state checks. Obtaining distribution certificates for non-commercial screenings at festivals is not mandatory in accordance with Russian Federation law for films no older than 2 years.

"Festival Plus" at any time has the right to change the dates and times of the event, as well as the venue and other information in this agreement. "Festival Plus" is not obliged to notify participants individually of changes. Changes come into force on the day of publication on the websites and social networks of festivals and the "Festival Plus" organization.
