39 Rooms will provide short film filmmakers with the rare opportunity to showcase their film in a manner that sustains momentum. Instead of the usual ‘one time showing’ at a festival, selected films will have a year-long presence on private channel for the prestigious guests of the Modern to enjoy, and find readily available information about. Not stopping there, the films will also be showcased at various venues locally, regionally and nationally. The heart of 39 Rooms is to give artists new opportunities for showcasing their work, and the business of it is to get the films maximum exposure through this revolving, evolving, sustaining, festival.
