Regensburg Short Film Week

About

Annual meeting place for representatives from national and international short film festivals; one of the most pleasant film festivals to attend. Although it has been around for quite a few years, the festival always manages to surprise its guests with improvements and innovations.

The programs offered are invariably both entertaining and varied. Despite the relatively small size of the festival, its strong affiliation with the Bayerischer Rundfunk television station (also involved in other capacities in the promotion of short films), the establishment of a film market, and the proximity to Munich draw a considerable number of buyers.

International Competition:

• Short Film Award of the Bavarian Broadcasting Corporation (Main Festival Award, EUR 5,000),
• Short Film Award of the City of Regensburg (EUR 1,000),
• Architecture Film Award (EUR 1,500),
• Cinema Pub Award (Audience Award, EUR 333).

National Competition:

• BMW Award (Euro 1,500),
• Max Bresele Memorial Award (for a politically relevant film, Euro 500).

Regional Competition:

• Award (Euro 500),
• Online Award.

 Audience Award (International/National Competition, Euro 333)

Rules

• Only one flm per flm maker / director will be accepted for each festival year.
• Only short flms up to 30 minutes in total will be accepted.
• The year of production is 2022 oder 2023.
• Each single film needs to be registered via submit.kurzfilmwoche or via shortfilmdepot.
• Subtitles language: English
