International Film Contest MusicFirework Vision

International Online Independent Film Competition.

About

International Film Contest MusicFirework Vision is a non-profit international online competition created to discover and support talented filmmakers around the world. The contest’s specific feature is the absence of commercial entry fees and its focus not merely on awarding diplomas, but on providing media support for film authors.

The competition covers a wide range of categories: from short and feature films to vertical, experimental films, and original music. MusicFirework Vision accepts works produced from 2024 onwards, without premiere requirements, making it accessible for films that have already participated in festivals. The event is held in an online format, ensuring the safety of materials (closed jury screening) and guaranteeing full retention of copyright by the participants.

The main value of the competition is informational support from the general partner, the online publication MusicFirework.

Awards

For the winners (in each category):

An official diploma and laurels in electronic form.

The Grand Prize — a promotion package from the online publication "MusicFirework":

Publication of a detailed interview with the author on the publication's website.

Publication of a review of the winning film.

Announcement of the win and publication on MusicFirework's official social networks.

For all shortlisted participants:

Mention of the author's name and the title of the work in the final article on the MusicFirework website.

For each competition participant:

An electronic participant certificate.

Rules

1. Film Requirements:

The production date of the film must be no earlier than January 1, 2024.

Films with any aspect ratio are eligible, including vertical (9:16), which corresponds to a separate nomination.

Films containing voice-over narration or dialogue in a foreign language must be accompanied by English or Russian subtitles. Translation is not required for films built exclusively on a visual sequence and music (with no verbal component).

The film is not required to be a premiere and may participate in other festivals and competitions.

2. Films are accepted in the following nominations:

Best Short Film (up to 40 minutes)

Best Feature Film (over 40 minutes)

Best Documentary Film

Best Animated Film

Best Vertical Film

Best Experimental Film

Best Debut

Best Ultra-Short Film (up to 3 minutes)

Best Original Music Score

3. Content Restrictions:

Films must not contain materials that explicitly contradict international norms (calls for violence, discrimination, terrorism), nor violate the laws of the country of production and the Russian Federation.

Submitted films must not infringe upon the copyrights of third parties. Responsibility for copyright compliance lies with the Contest participants.

4. Copyright:

The participant guarantees that they possess all necessary rights to the submitted film, including copyright and related rights. The Organizer is not responsible for any infringement of third-party copyrights.

5. Distribution Certificate:

A distribution certificate is not required for participation in the contest, as the screening of films is conducted as part of a non-commercial online event and does not constitute a public demonstration.

6. Use of Films:

The Organizer guarantees that full versions of the films are used exclusively for closed jury viewing.

Material Confidentiality Policy: Full versions of the films do not leave the confines of the jury panel. No fragment, screenshot, or other audiovisual element of your film will be published without your written consent. Your intellectual property remains with you in full.

Sole exception: Films and the names of authors included in the shortlist and winners list are mentioned in text publications and announcements on the MusicFirework website, without displaying any video or audio material, except for links to official trailers provided by the participant themselves.

7. Participation in the contest implies agreement with all articles of these Regulations.

The Organizer reserves the right to reject an application if the submitted materials do not comply with these rules.
