CinéDOC-Tbilisi Documentary Film Festival – the first international film festival in the South of Caucasus that focuses on creative documentary. The festival’s first edition took place in October 2013. 

The festival presented award winning films from outside of Georgia as well as local and regional productions.

The film screenings were followed by open discussions and debates with the invited filmmakers, master classes with renowned film professionals, open sessions with international guests.

The screenings took place in cinema RUSTAVELI, cinema AMIRANI and cinema QOLGA.

Rules

  • International Competition. Films produced during following years:  2019, 2020 (if the film will be released in 2020, you can submit it at rough-cut stage)  may be submitted. The films should not be shorter than 30 minutes. We accept only creative documentaries, no TV reports.
  • Focus Caucasus. For documentary films produced in the Caucasus (including Russia or Turkey) or about the Caucasus region. Films of any length are accepted for this section.
  • CinéDOC Young, Open to films that capture the experiences of young people. Open to films of any length. Documentaries will be presented to children and teenagers.
  • CivilDOC. Open to films that deal with human rights in a broad understanding of this term. From LGBT issues to labor rights.
  • Submit your film online (by sending a link with password protection).
  • You can also send 2 DVD’s (by private courier) to following address. But due to late deliveries by the Georgian post, it is preferable to submit your films online.
  • The films must have English subtitles.

Films dealing with topics important for the development youngsters: from films about children to films on ecology issues, democracy, human rights, gender issues, etc. - Open to films of any length. - Documentaries will be presented to children and teenagers. The documentaries will be presented in their original versions with Georgian subtitles or dubbed in Georgian.

For documentary films produced in the Caucasus (including Russia or Turkey) or about the Caucasus region (the submitted films can be produced anywhere in the world, but have to deal with the Caucasus region, with Russia or Turkey). Films of any length are accepted for this section.
