Biography
Ekaterina is an artist and an independent director of animation films. She is living and working in Gent, Belgium. She graduated from St. Petersburg State Academy of Arts, Department of Monumental and Decorative Art. She created many different monumental works in other countries. She attended classes for directing and animating at St. Petersburg State University of Film and Television. Her debut animated film Love Pray Fight (2016) for the exhibition of Indian art in Brussels, Belgium. She founded the animation studio DAR for her youngest son and that was an inspiration for his films. «My New Year» (2016) was screened at more than 30 children's film festivals, and «The Dog Story» (2018) has won around 15 awards at local and international youth film festivals. Since 2019, she has been working on her first big animation project Kuumba Umbo (Birth of Form).
