An old man’s last wish to perform a Kazakh tradition and ride a grandson on a stallion – is shattered away by everyday routine, bureaucracy and loneliness, and is never fulfilled. Johann Bach’s music on dombyra just underscores the pain and the hope.

The film uses an interesting artistic touch – performance of Johann Sebastian Bach’s work by traditional musical instruments: dombra and kobyz. The way the music is performed emphasizes the subtleness and original character of the film.
