About

The Woods Hole Film Festival is a showcase of independent film spotlighting the work of emerging filmmakers. We emphasize cinematography in our selection process. We also promote the work of New England Filmmakers both during and after the Festival.

In addition to screening over 100 works throughout the 8 days, we host staged-screenplay readings and offer hands-on workshops geared toward both veteran and first-time filmmakers. All categories are competitive. Some categories are juried. Audience awards given in all categories. 

Awards

We offer audience awards and jury awards in select categories. Prizes include 1st look opportunity for distribution by Monterey Media, software, Best of Fest screenings.
