The purpose of the Film Festival is to strengthen international relations, expand creative and professional contacts, exchange of experience and ideas, identification trends in the development of cinema in different countries; attracting the attention of representatives film industry to the city of Pskov and its environs; attracting the interest of young people and wide audience to the art of cinema, promoting the diversity of cultural and creative processes.
The Western Gate International Film Festival is a competitive festival.

Awards

The jury of the IFF "Western Gate" awards the following prizes - ceramic Plaquette:

• The main prize - for the best film (given to the representative of the film at the festival);
• Special Jury Prize - (given in accordance with the decision of the jury);

The Organizing Committee and the Directorate of the IFF "Western Gate" award honorary
premiums:

• Award for contribution to cinema.
• Special prize with special wording.

Rules

• Only feature films completed in production in 2019-2022 participate in the competition program.
• The minimum length of feature films is 60 minutes.
