About

UNKNOWN FILM FESTIVAL is the best platform for amateur filmmakers around the world that provides a stage for short films, animations, visual arts and music videos.

The aim of the UFF is to discover new talents and possibly create further opportunities for them in the Russian and international filmmaking industry. It is the time when young filmmakers can speak to the world and share their works.

The mission of the UFF is to find and show works from around the world that represent inspiring short films and motivational videos that remind us of something important.

Submissions are open from June 2023 to June 2024. The final selection of films will be announced in June. The film festival will take place on June, right before the Ural Music Night (the most popular music festival in Russia).

The UFF will also include a program of lectures held by famous cinematographers. 

Awards

Filmmakers will have a chance to showcase their works to the open public and create networks with other people from the film industry. 

The awards will be presented for the winners in five categories. There are also special prizes for Best directing, Best cinematography, Best debut, Best actor/actress and Best national film.

Rules

UFF accepts submissions in five categories:

• SHORT FILM
• DOCUMENTARY SHORT FILM
• MUSIC VIDEO
• EXPERIMENTAL SHORT FILM
• ANIMATION

Running time: no more than 20 minutes. Please attach the file with English subtitiles. Participants are allowed to enter their works in several categories.

Jury and Organizers

The film festival is organized by Red Pepper Film – a creative company that exists in the Russian advertising and film industry for more than 10 years. Red Pepper Film already has numerous works that won awards in big international festivals. Red Pepper Film is known as one of the most creative agencies in Russia nowadays.
