"Tricolor FilmFest" Festival

The First All-Russian Family Film Festival "KinoFest Tricolor"
October 1–8, 2026

"KinoFest Tricolor" is a new all-Russian project dedicated to Russian family cinema. It will bring together creators, industry professionals, and audiences around films that explore family values, human relationships, and stories that connect generations.

Russian films produced between 2024 and 2026 are eligible for the competition program:
— Full-length feature films (60 minutes or longer);
— Short feature films (up to 30 minutes);
— Documentary short films (up to 40 minutes);
— Animated short films (up to 30 minutes).

Films must be in Russian or have Russian subtitles, be family-friendly, have a distribution certificate, and be rated 16 or older.

Applications will be accepted from August 3 to September 6, 2026.
Participation in the selection is free. You can submit an application on the website or through the script.moviestart platform.

The competition program will include 20 films—five in each category. The best films will be shown to audiences at cinemas across Russia from October 1 to 8, 2026.

Festival winners will be selected by a professional jury in the following categories:
"Best Feature Film,"
"Best Short Film,"
"Best Documentary," and
"Best Animated Film."

We invite creators and copyright holders of Russian family films to participate in the first Tricolor KinoFest.

Rules

1. Full-length family feature films, as well as short feature, animated, and documentary family films produced in Russia between 2024 and 2026, are eligible for the selection.
2. Films must be in Russian or a national language with Russian subtitles. Films without Russian subtitles will not be accepted.
3. Submitted materials must not contain scenes of violence, drug propaganda, extremism, insults, or any information prohibited by Russian law.
4. All films included in the Festival's competition program must have a distribution certificate and a maximum age rating of 16+.
