Years running: 53 (since 1972)
Potsdam International Student's Film Festival.
About
The festival was founded by the former GDR as FDJ (Free German Youth) student filmdays based at the GDR-filmschool "Konrad Wolf". This event is growing in influence for the work of film students and up-and-coming young filmmakers. Numerous awards are handed out, and plenty of supporting events are on offer. Strong ties to the classic production location Babelsberg.
Due to the variety of workshops, there are plenty of decision makers present, but also representatives of broader based industries, e.g. banks, advertising agencies. Accompanying program: musical events; forum of media economy, pitching workshop; different podium discussions and conferences, production technique workshop, screenplay lounge.
