Made in St. Petersburg Film Festival

About

The Made in St. Petersburg Film Festival, founded by the Union of Cinematographers of St. Petersburg, has existed since 2021, but in 2024 the project will reach a new level, expanding its competitive, educational and business programs. The Made in St. Petersburg Festival becomes a Film Forum.

Among its objectives is the development and popularization of cinematographic activities in St. Petersburg. The Forum aims to create a unified ecosystem for the development of St. Petersburg cinematographies.

Over the past 3 years, the Made in St. Petersburg project has become one of the most anticipated winter events in the city and a center of attraction for young and experienced filmmakers. The fourth Film Forum will be held in an expanded format, in accordance with the requests of guests and viewers, new events will be added. The main innovation is the holding of a Pitching of film projects for young filmmakers. Thanks to this, St. Petersburg filmmakers can receive not only knowledge and experience, but also financial support for projects.

Awards

Festival Prizes:

Nominations of the full-length film competition:

• Festival Grand Prix;
• Best feature film;
• Best documentary film.

Nominations of the short film competition:

• Best short film of the festival;
• Special Prize Best short film by an independent author;
• 1st place is awarded for the Best short film, according to the audience.

A diploma for the Best Program is awarded to one of the film schools of St. Petersburg.

Since 2024, a special prize "For St. Petersburg style" will be introduced, awarded by the Organizing Committee of the Festival.

The winners receive a diploma and a statuette of the Festival. Prizes from partners and sponsors of the Festival are also possible.

Rules

• Films that were released in theaters or digitally no earlier than January 1, 2023 are eligible to participate in the competition.
• Films shot in Russian or with Russian subtitles are accepted for the Festival program.
• Short feature films in which St. Petersburg is the location or filming location may be included in the almanac "Short Film. Made in St. Petersburg", which will be shown as part of the Festival in a separate program.
• Short feature and non-feature films must have a film distribution certificate.

Premiere Requirements

Regional premiere required.

Jury and Organizers

Оргкомитет Фестиваля формируется из состава учредителей Форума и партнеров Фестиваля, приглашенных по решению учредителей.

Жюри Фестиваля

1. Жюри фестиваля формируется из кинематографистов и деятелей культуры Санкт-Петербурга, приглашенных по решению оргкомитета.
2. Жюри полнометражного конкурса включает 5 известных мастеров кино, деятелей телевидения и культуры. Дирекция Фестиваля назначает Председателя Жюри из состава членов Жюри. Председатель Жюри Фестиваля имеет 2 голоса при вынесении решений Жюри.
В состав жюри не могут входить лица, участвующие в создании или коммерческом прокате конкурсных картин. Все члены жюри обязуются воздерживаться от публичных высказываний по поводу конкурсных картин до закрытия Фестиваля.
3. Жюри короткометражного конкурса включает 3 известных мастеров кино, деятелей телевидения и культуры. Дирекция Фестиваля назначает Председателя Жюри из состава членов Жюри. Председатель Жюри Фестиваля имеет 2 голоса при вынесении решений Жюри.
В состав жюри не могут входить лица, участвующие в создании или коммерческом прокате конкурсных картин. Все члены жюри обязуются воздерживаться от публичных высказываний по поводу конкурсных картин до закрытия Фестиваля.
