The SAN JOSE SHORT FILM FESTIVAL (SJSFF) distinguishes itself as a festival that caters to filmmakers and their craft. Beginning with the Red Carpet event and "Premiere Selection" screening & Opening Night After-Party at the prestigious Santana Row complex. Four day event includes multiple screenings, workshops and technology demonstrations, plus nightly Filmmaker Receptions that celebrate the best the festival has to offer. Audiences receptive to world class cinema join with SJSFF filmmakers in this four day festival filled with premiere networking events, filmmaking panels and a chance for film-lovers & filmmakers alike to mix and mingle with fellow artists and attendees.

Rules

• All films must be no longer than 30 minutes, including credits and may cover any genre (note: always looking for more films under 5 min in length).
• Rough cuts and work-in-progress prints are acceptable as long as the final (completed) film can be delivered prior to August 10th
• We encourage all genres to submit as we have multiple blocks over the 4 days of the festival, including: Comedy, Drama, Foreign, Animation, Sci-Fi and more.
• Our preferred method for submissions is via online screener, digital streaming via private link or password protected via Vimeo or similar sites (via Withoutabox or Filmfreeway systems).
