The touring Reel Youth Film Festival is screened across Canada and internationally, in partnership with established film festivals, youth media organizations, schools, and community groups.

Overall winners are determined by cumulative audience votes.

Rules

All submissions must:

• be made by people 19 years old and younger,
• be under 10 minutes (including titles and credits),
• be original video (video you shot yourself) or have permission to use, and have original music or music you have permission from the artist to use,
• have original music or music you have permission from the artist to use.
• Subtitles language: english

There is no limit to the number of videos that you can submit. 

Documents and Other Requisite Items

• Fill out entry form,
• Send DVD with submitted film by mail or use online platform Filmfreeway.

The festival premiers at the Vancouver International Film Festival in October (we announce the exact date in September). The Reel Youth Film Festival then continues to screen in communities across North America, until the following October.
