About

PAFF celebrates, and provides a venue for, the female voice in film. All net proceeds from festival entries go to Women in Film Seattle (WIF Seattle) to continue the Post Alley (shorts) Film Festival and WIF Seattle’s mission to provide connection, education, and support for female filmmakers, and the interlacing of a strong, educated, creative, filmmaking community. WIF Seattle promotes, celebrates, and works hard for women’s equal, respected presence in our industry, on and off screen.

• Other Jury Awards in variable categories + laurels. 

Rules

• PAFF accepts only short films (narrative, documentary, animated, experimental, student) completed by January of the applied for festival year.
• Female directors are encouraged. Female-oriented subject matter and films with a female perspective are warmly received. We screen films in which women have played important creative roles. We do accept and screen films by male directors. Industrial/corporate films are not accepted. Commercials are not accepted. Pornographic material is not accepted;
• Length: 1−19 minutes.
