About

Planet in Focus is Canada’s leading environmental media arts organization, showcasing and promoting outstanding environmental films and videos in all genres (documentaries, dramatic, experimental, short films, features and animation) by Canadian and international filmmakers.

Planet in Focus operates year-round. We produce Canada’s largest environmental film festival every October in Toronto; we bring environmental films to communities and schools across the country and around the world through our Touring Programs; we teach youth how to tell stories about the environment using the latest video production and storytelling tools and spearhead a pan-industry program to reduce the environmental footprint of the film and television industry.

Planet in Focus will be awarding cash prizes to the jury-selected films for:

Mark Haslam Award
Best International Short Film
Best Canadian Feature Film
Best International Feature Film

Rules

Only films completed after January 1st, 2022 will be considered for official selection.
Film is to be submitted via Filmfreeway
All foreign language films must have English subtitles
