The First All-Russian Paralympic Film Festival "OVERCOMING"

About

"OVERCOMING" is a film festival of films about Paralympians, athletes with disabilities, veterans of military operations who realize themselves in sports, and about a healthy lifestyle.

The festival is a single creative socio-cultural platform for Paralympians, athletes with disabilities, veterans of the SVO, residents of the Lipetsk region, the professional community of filmmakers and youth, thus promoting the popularization of sports professions, a healthy lifestyle, and the formation of demand for modern patriotic cinema.

Awards

The Film Festival jury evaluates the films selected for the competition program and awards one prize in the following nominations:

Documentary films in thematic nominations:

1. "Strong in Spirit"
2. "We Believe Firmly in Sports Heroes"
3. "Our Own in Battle and in Life"

Additionally, awards prizes in the following nominations:

1. Audience Award.
2. Special Jury Prize

Based on the results of the Competition, winners are determined in each nomination:

1. For the best film;
2. Audience Award.
3. Special Jury Prize

All winners of the Competition are awarded diplomas, memorable prizes and Film Festival Laureles

Festival Diplomas:

• For Loyalty to the Traditions of Russian Cinema in Creating Images of Modern Heroes;
• For the Best Embodiment of the Creative Power of a Sports Character;
• For High Professionalism in Resolving a Current Topic.

Rules

Competition Program of the Film Festival:
Documentary films from 2020, duration up to 90 min (documentary);

In the following nominations:

1. "Strong in Spirit" - films about Paralympians and athletes with disabilities.
2. "We firmly believe in sports heroes" - films about sports legends and significant sports events.
3. "Our own in battle and in life" - films about veterans of the Russian military.

The festival program also includes out-of-competition screenings of documentaries, feature films and animation films.

Jury and Organizers

The Film Festival Jury is made up of representatives from the film industry, festival partners, public creative associations, cultural and artistic figures, etc.

The Festival competition program will be evaluated by:

Documentary Competition Jury – 3 people.
