About
The inaugural OFFSHORE Art & Film Festival will take place annually during summer, in Montauk's high season, with additional screenings throughout the spring and fall.
Showcase your film, as you mingle with filmmakers and celebrities for 5 days of film, art, networking and panels.
Categories include dramatic, comedic, horror, extreme sport, documentary, as well as a feature and short category for films shot in and around the town of Montauk, NY.
Awards
Dramatic (feature) - Cash Award Value: $500
Dramatic (short) - Cash Award Value: $250
Extreme Sport (feature/short): - Cash Award Value: $500
Comedic (short) - Cash Award Value: $250
Horror/Thriller (short) - Cash Award Value: $250
Documentary (short) - Cash Award Value; $250
Local Montauk (feature/short) - Cash Award Value: $300
Rules
These regulations apply to all submission categories:
1. Submitted films must have been completed by May 31st, 2025, and no earlier than January 1st, 2024.
2. Films must be submitted via FilmFreeway and include a working screener accessible via FilmFreeway in order to be considered.
3. Only complete submissions (screener & application fee) will be considered.
4. The application fee is non-refundable.
5. All submissions must be free from any legal disputes and the filmmaker takes sole responsibility for music and exhibition rights.
6. All films must be in their original language. Non-English language submissions must be accompanied by English subtitles.
7. Rough cuts and works-in-progress are eligible for entry, but the link must be clearly marked as such. Final cut must be re-submitted no later than July 1st 2024, to avoid disqualification.
8. Promotional material may be submitted along with film, but Offshore is not responsible for the return of any physical submission materials: DVDs, decks, posters, etc.
