International film festival in Poland.


T-Mobile New Horizons International Film Festival is the biggest film festival in Poland and it is regarded as one of the most important film events in Central Europe. The festival presents uncompromising, innovative and original cinema from all over the world that explores new horizons in film language, expression and storytelling.


  • New Horizons International Competition, 
  • Films On Art International Competition,
  • Polish Short Films Competition,
  • European Shorts Competition,
  • “Zoom” Competition (by filmmakers living or studying in the Lower Silesia region) – documentaries, fiction, experimental films, animation, videoclips, videoart and  school shorts.

Non-competitive sections:

  • Panorama, 
  • Documentaries / Essays,
  • Midnight Madness,
  • The Third Eye - innovative productions made by visual artists,
  • Country or Region in Focus, 
  • Retrospectives.


NEW HORIZONS International Competition:

  • Grand Prix and 15.000 Euro in cash for the director of the winning film selected by an international jury. The winning film is guaranteed distribution in Poland;
  • Audience Award - the winner is selected by the audience. The winning film is guaranteed distribution in Poland;


  • The Festival gives priority to Polish premieres. 
  • Submission to the Festival is open to feature films, documentaries, animations, experimental films, short films and innovative visual productions completed after January 1, 2021.
  • The New Horizons Competition is open to films that are more than 60 minutes in length.
  • Subtitles language: english

Only films (DVD or link with the access to the online version of the film) accompanied by duly filled official entry forms and requested documentation are accepted for selection.

The cost of the prints' transportation, if not agreed otherwise, is covered by the Festival:

  • To and from Poland, if the print is transported from and to the lending company (Producer/Sales Agent);
  • One way (to Poland only), if the print is transported along a chain of festivals.
