About

MONSTRA is a festival where experimentation/research, crossing over new artistic approaches, forms and proposals takes place. The main aim of Lisbon Animated Film Festival is the presentation and promotion of the world’s best animation. This year’s festival edition includes competition, retrospectives, workshops, master classes, exhibitions and interdisciplinary projects.

All Awards consist in trophy and/or certificate.

Rules

• Feature Films should be finished after January 1st 2022.
• Any work created frame by frame, in any technique (analogical, digital or mixed) will be accepted for competition. The animated sequences must correspond to at least 50 % of the total film length.
• The submissions are to be made online. To complete your online submission you need to sign, fill and upload the authorization form. Without it we will not consider your submission.
• The submissions must be accompanied with the following materials:

1. Digital format film or  DVD Pal (high quality) with the film (DVD may contain several films.);
2. Director's biography and photo (300 dpi); 3 stills of the film (300 dpi); short synopsis of the film; film dialogues in English and/or Portuguese. These materials may be  uploaded online sent in a CD or by email to festival@monstrafestival.com;
3. Press kit and promotional materials (optional).
