MedFilm Festival

About

The only festival in Italy dedicated to promoting the circulation of European and Mediterranean Cinema, MEDFILMFestival was established in 1995 on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Cinema and of the Barcelona Declaration. The main objectives of the MEDFILMFestival are: to support Human Rights and Intercultural Dialogue; to raise young people’s awareness and understanding of social-cultural issues; to stand against racism and xenophobia; to promote European and Mediterranean Culture.

Rules

Films realized after the 1st of January 2022

• OFFICIAL COMPETITION Eros and Psyche Award. Official section of the festival dedicated exclusively to feature films coming from the Countries of the Mediterranean area and must be Italian Premieres;
• INTERNATIONAL SHORT FILM COMPETITION Methexis Award/Cervantes Rome Award. It is open to short films of maximum length of 25 minutes from European and Mediterranean Countries;
• INTERNATIONAL DOCUMENTARY FILM COMPETITION Open Eyes Award. Works from European and Mediterranean Countries.

Documents and Other Requisite Items

• Fill out entry form;
• Send DVD or LINK with submitted film by mail.
