About
The Festival organised and programmed by filmmakers is the premier event for micro-budget and no-budget films in the UK and one of Europe's top indie film fests. Special attention is given to the screening of films by first and second time directors, films shot with budgets under £100,000 ($200,000 US) and quality films that - for whatever reason - are unlikely to receive distribution through other channels. And as filmmaking is a collaborative enterprise, LIFF puts serious effort and planning into providing pub and entertainment venues, social get-together spaces, and mingling parties.

Rules
- Films which have been broadcast on Television, Cable or have had an international theatrical release prior to LIFF are NOT eligible for any competition but may be screened, out of competition.
- All film submissions are preferred via Withoutabox or Film Freeway. The alternative is to pay via PayPal and complete the submission form.
- All screenplay submissions are preferred via Withoutabox. The alternative is to submit via email and pay via PayPal.
- Non-English language produced films must have English subtitles or be dubbed in English.
