Student Film Festival "Kinosfera"

About

The "Kinosfera" Student Film Festival is a new platform for self-development and realization. Here, each participant can delve into the world of cinema at master classes with film industry professionals, get an expert assessment of their project, meet students from various educational institutions and find creative friends.

The festival will be held at the site of the State University of Management by the Department of Management in the field of Culture, Cinema, Television and Entertainment Industry.

The "Kinosfera" will be held in the following order: 

On April 2 and 9, lectures in the public-talk format with invited experts from the film industry will be held at the university. 

On April 11, the grand opening of the Festival will take place, the acquaintance of participants, the screening of competitive works in the block of feature and animated films, the closing ceremony with the awarding of the winners.

Entrance will be by pre-registration!

Students and graduates of the 2024 film directions can apply for participation by pre-selecting one of the nominations:
- Feature films (running time - no more than 20 minutes);
- Animated films (running time - no more than 15 minutes).

To participate in the Festival, competitive works are accepted
in the following categories:

● Feature Film:
- Best Film;
- Best Cinematography;
- Best Screenplay;
- Audience Award.

● Animated Film:
- Best Film;
- Best Production Design;
- Best Screenplay;
- Audience Award.

The Organizing Committee of the Festival reserves the right to award additional special prizes.

The competition entries must comply with the legislation of the Russian Federation, therefore scenes are prohibited in them:

- offending the feelings of believers (of various faiths and religions);

- cruelty and violence;

- of an erotic and/or pornographic nature;

- advertising or promoting drugs, terrorism, medicines and weapons.

The entries must meet the following technical specifications:

1. Image resolution: 1920x1080 and above;
2. Video format: MP4, AVI or MKV;
3. High-quality sound;
4. The time frame.

The Festival program also supports the list of values ​​from the presidential decree No. 809 “On approval of the principles of state policy for the preservation and strengthening of traditional Russian spiritual and moral values.”

Awards

The winners of the Festival in each of the nominations are awarded with a diploma and receive prizes from the Festival partners. 

All participants of the Festival receive a certificate of participation in electronic form to the e-mail address specified in the application, the winners are awarded with diplomas and prizes.

Rules

Applications for participation in the Festival are accepted from January 15 to March 20, 2025 in accordance with the criteria established The position.

- The participants of the Festival guarantee the uniqueness of creative works and confirm their right to intellectual property.

- All participants of the Festival who have submitted an application automatically agree to the terms of the event and consent to the processing of personal data and the advertising use of the submitted works with an indication of authorship.

- Participants confirm that they have the consent of all persons who participated in the creation of the audiovisual product to shoot and further use the material.

- Participants guarantee the observance of copyright for the use of musical accompaniment.

Criteria for evaluating the work of participants:

Feature films:
- drama;
- directing;
- cinematography;
- acting;
- sound, including music.

Animated films:
- drama;
- directing;
- animation;
- artistic design;
- sound, including music.

Participation in the Festival is free of charge. There are no organizational contributions. The costs associated with travel to the Festival venue, accommodation and meals are borne by the participants. If the participants who won in one of the nominations cannot personally pick up prizes and diplomas, then their transportation and delivery are paid at the expense of the contestants.

Jury and Organizers

The organizer of the Festival is Department of Management in the field of Culture, Cinema, Television and Entertainment Industry of the University of Public Administration.

A professional jury formed by the Organizing Committee of the Festival will be created to evaluate the films of the competition program.

The professional jury consists of film industry experts.
