About

Principal aims and field:

• Preparation and organization of IFF JUNIRFEST;
• Igniting of interest. Interest of kids, youth, and widespread public in film creativity and in films for children;
• Education in films and media both focusing on children;
• Coop with local, european and world festivals and centers on projects or on programmes regarding film creation and educative effort.

• International Competition of Feature Films for Children - category 5-10 years, 
• International Competition of Feature Films for Youth - Category 11-13 years,

Informative section:

• New Czech films and television programmes;
• Under one roof;
• ...On the horizon;
• Oldschool.;
• A Good Harvest of Visegrad - film production for children and youth from the countries of the Visegrad Group.

Retrospective presentation of distinguished personalities of the Czech and world cinema. 
Accompanying events for entire family; workshops, specialized seminars.  

Awards

International Expert Jury awards following prizes:

• Festival Flap – Best Feature Film in children category (5-11 years of age)
• Festival Flap - Best Feature Film in children category (12-16 years of age)
• Festival Flap – Best Animated Feature Film in children category (5-12 years of age)

Audience awards:

• The Pilsen Region Award - audience award for the most successful feature film in children category (5-11 years);
• The Festival Cities Award - audience award for the most successful feature film in children category (5-11 years);
• The General Partner Award – audience award for the most animated feature film in children category (5-12 years of age).

Prize awarded by the citizensassociation JUNIORFEST:

• Special Golden Watch Hand - award for lifelong creative contribution to filmmaking for children and youth.

Rules

• Films, premiered after January 1, 2022.
• Subtitles language: english
• The applicant is obliged to fill in the on-line application form and send a film synopsis, biography and photograph of the director, five photographs from the film in high-quality resolution, dialogue sheet in English language and an online screener or a preview DVD with English subtitles.

For each film selected for competition, a delegation of a 3 people at most is invited for a period of 2 nights. The organiser undertakes to cover the costs for accomodation and food for the members of the delegation.
