About

The International Izmir Short Film Festival, has become one of the most important short film festivals in Turkey. Within the framework of the competition program, fiction, documentary, animation and experimental films from all over the world compete in national and international categories and the winners are awarded with Golden Cat awards. Along with the competition program, short film panorama program presents carefully selected films from the world and screenings are supported by Q&A sessions, pannel discussions and workshops to the benefit of artists and audience, creating an important meeting point between film makers and the audience.

Awards

The festival has both international and national competition categories. For the best films from fiction, documentary, animation and experimental shorts, a Golden Cat award is presented.

Rules

  • The length of the film that is applied for IISFF should be minimum 1 minute and maximum 30 minutes.
  • Only films made in 2023 and 2024 can be submitted,
  • Applicants might submit more than one film.

Categories & Fees

Minimum 1 minute and maximum 30 minutes. Films that are in national and international fiction, experimental, documentary and animation category are welcome to apply.
