International Film Festival Innsbruck

About

The International Film Festival Innsbruck mainly presents films from and about Africa, Asia and Latin America. It takes place every year for five days in Innsbruck. The Festival is supported by the Government of the Bundesland Tyrol, the City Government of Innsbruck, the Austrian Federal Government and Cine Tirol Film Commission & Fund. The official selection includes two competitions, each for feature-length films: the International Competition and the Competition for the best film from a french speaking country. Furthermore the festival organizes a non-competitive section, tributes and focuses.

Awards

• Prize of the Province of Tyrol (5.000,‐ Euro): Endowed by the government of the province of Tyrol and is given to the director of the film selected by the International Jury;
• The audience award ‐ Prize of the city of Innsbruck (1.000,‐ Euro): This award is bestowed by the Innsbruck Citymarketing on the director of the film selected by the public;
• Documentary Film Award (1.500,‐ EURO): Endowed by the ‘Innsrbucker Sommerhighlights’ and is decided upon by an international jury;
• Südwind‐Filmpreis (1.000,‐ Euro): Is decided on by a jury of local school students and goes to the director of the winning film.
