About

Gwanghwamun International Short Film Festival (GISFF) is an online short film festival conducted through the independent film platform MovieBloc. All short films can be submitted regardless of their genre, theme, and year of production but experimental films, music videos, and advertisements are excluded. Also, the full running time must be less than 40 minutes and English subtitles are necessary. At the end of the festival, three winners will be selected based on the juries' examinations, and all cash prizes and production support funds will be paid in cryptocracy (MBL).

Awards

Three winners will receive:

- Gold Prize: $30,000

- Silver Prize: $20,000

- Bronze Prize: $10,000

Additionally, a support fund for their next film ($20,000 each), and the awarded film’s offline screening event in the region the director resides will be provided.

Rules

1) All films must be submitted on the MovieBloc website (moviebloc.com) by the deadline.

2) You must sign up to MovieBloc before you submit your film.

3) We do not accept films in any situations by email or post.

4) After the submission, you cannot withdraw the entry.

– Submission Rules & Regulations

1) The running time of the film must be under 40 minutes.

2) You can submit a film regardless of the key theme and genre. However, experimental movies, music videos, and advertisements are excluded.

3) There is no restriction on the year of production.

4) English subtitles (in the form of SRT or VTT) must also be submitted (even for English lines).

5) GISFF prefers movies with subtitles in various languages and world premieres.

6) We recommend you submit your work in the following formats: H264, AAC, 1080p, files under 1GB
