Ourense International Film Festival

About

The Ourense International Film Festival is held annually. Since it was created in 1996, it has become a consolidated film contest and showcase for the most remarkable independent productions from around the world, focusing on thematically committed and formally innovative cinema, as well as a meeting point for film professionals and one of the main platforms for the promotion of the Galician audiovisual industry.

Awards

• Calpurnia Award for Best Film – Latin American Competition: 10,000 euros
• "Carlos Velo" Award for Best Director – Latin American Competition: 5,000 euros
• Calpurnia Award for Best Film – First Films Competition: 10,000 euros
• Audience Award for Best Film in the two competitions: 5,000 euros

Rules

• Films produced in 2022 or 2023 with a minimum running time of 60 minutes which have not been exhibited, broadcasted or released commercially in Spain before the Festival, shall be accepted. Films that have been shown on conventional movie theatres, film festivals or any other kind of venues open to an audience will be considered as exhibited and therefore will not be admitted.
• Debut Feature Competition. First feature films from any geographical area will be accepted.
