Elche International Independent Film Festival

About

The Elche International Independent Film Festival of Elche (hereinafter FICIE), organized by Foundation's «Caja Mediterrneo» main objective is to offer a cultural space to filmmakers and moviegoers. It is a constant commitment to the promotion of culture and supporting the emerging values of cinema, focusing on innovation, public conversation with the authors and the elimination of technological compete when barriers and vote.

The contestants have two options for participating:

1. OPEN: Works can be viewed on a whole web page, for purposes of dissemination, socialization and recognition. 
2. RESTRICTED TO THE JURY: The author / producer / supplier decide that their works will only be seen online by the Jury and will only be displayed if they were selected during the projections in the Hort del Xocolater and Arenales del Sol Beach (Elche).

• Best Animated Short Film Award — €2000 and trophy
• Best Short Documentary Award — €2000 and trophy

• Best Latin American Short Film Award — €1000 and trophy 
• Best European Short Film Award — €1000 and trophy
• «Cineclub Luis Buñuel» Award to the Best Short Film of the Valencian Community — €500 and trophy
• Best Short Film Amateur Award — €500 and trophy 
• Best Opera Prima Award — trohpy
• Best Short film of the Guest Country: Russia Award — €500 and trophy. In any of the categories. Eligible short films coming only from the Federation of Russia
• Mobile Film Maker Award — €500 and trophy
• «Hort del Xocolater» Audience Award — €500 and trophy
• Online Audience Award — trophy

Rules

• Every Author/Producer/Distributor can submit all the works they want produced after January 1, 2021
• Maximum length : 25 minutes
• Maximum length for Moblie Film Maker section is 15 minutes
• Spanish subtitles are mandatory
• Submission is available via FICIE website and the associated online platforms (Filmfreeway, Festhome, Movibeta, FilmSalad, Click for Festivals)
• Submission media type: avi, mov, mp4 and / or mkv with minimum resolution of 1920 x 1080 and with a size of up to 500 MB
