About
The Far Eastern Film Award is a professional award given for outstanding achievements in cinematography and for exceptional professional contribution to the development of meaningful and high-quality cinematography that conveys national and universal spiritual and moral values, the national identity of the Russian Far East, its cultural, ethnographic and ecological diversity and wealth in the language of cinema within the framework of projects implemented in the territory of the Far Eastern Federal District of the Russian Federation. The award is given annually based on the results of the work of a specially formed Expert Council.
Awards
The Far Eastern Film Award is presented in the following nominations:
- BEST FULL-LENGTH FEATURE, DOCUMENTARY, ANIMATED FILM OR TV SERIES (awarded to the producer of the film);
- BEST DIRECTOR'S WORK IN A FULL-LENGTH FEATURE, DOCUMENTARY, ANIMATED FILM OR TV SERIES (awarded to the director of a feature film or TV series);
- BEST SCREENPLAY IN A FULL-LENGTH FEATURE, DOCUMENTARY, ANIMATED FILM OR TV SERIES (awarded to the screenwriter or screenwriting team of a feature film or TV series);
- BEST DEBUT IN A FULL-LENGTH FEATURE, DOCUMENTARY, ANIMATED FILM OR TV SERIES (awarded to a debutant filmmaker: director, producer, screenwriter or actor, for a successful debut in a full-length film or TV series);
- BEST SHORT FEATURE, DOCUMENTARY, OR ANIMATED FILM (awarded to the producer of a short film);
- FOR CONTRIBUTION TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE FILM INDUSTRY OF THE FAR EAST (awarded for achievements in the film industry to a producer, director, screenwriter or representative of other professions).
Rules
The following are eligible for the Far Eastern Film Awards: feature, non-fiction, animated full-length films (running time from 60 minutes for feature films and from 52 minutes for non-fiction films), multi-episode films (series), feature, non-fiction, animated short films (running time up to 60 minutes for feature films and up to 52 minutes for non-fiction films), released (released in cinemas, shown at film festivals, as well as published on the Internet or aired on television, etc.) no earlier than January 1, 2024 and no later than December 31, 2024.
By submitting an application for participation in the selection, the copyright holder guarantees the veracity and reliability of the data provided. In case of doubts about the reliability and accuracy of previously received information, the Organizing Committee has the right to request from the Applicant official confirmation of the information received in the application. In case of providing false information, the Organizing Committee reserves the right to cancel the application and remove the film from the selection.
Films partially or completely created in the territory of the subjects of the Far Eastern Federal District of the Russian Federation and reflecting various aspects of life in this region are accepted for selection.
Both publicly shown TV series and films, as well as TV series and films that have not been widely released are considered for the Prize.
Applications are accepted electronically by the applicant filling out the form published on the website www.двкинопремия.рф.
The number of applications from one participant (group of participants) is not limited.
The applicant may be an individual or legal entity that is the copyright holder of the submitted film.
Applications will be accepted from May 29, 2025 to June 30, 2025 (until 23:59 Moscow time).

Jury and Organizers
The organizers of the Far Eastern Film Awards include the Ministry of the Russian Federation for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic, Corporation for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic, the Non-profit Organization "Fund for the Development of Social Initiatives", LLC "Producer Center "Youth Initiatives" and ANO Center for the Development and Support of Cultural Projects "Golden Raven" (hereinafter referred to as the "Operator"). Representatives of the organizers form the Organizing Committee of the Far Eastern Film Awards (hereinafter referred to as the "Organizing Committee"). The list of organizers can be adjusted if necessary and is approved annually.
The Far Eastern Film Awards are held with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation.
In order to determine the winners in the declared nominations within the framework of the implementation of the tasks of the Far Eastern Film Award, the Organizing Committee forms the Expert Council of the Far Eastern Film Award.
The expert council may include representatives of the film and media industry of the Russian Federation, including directors, film and television producers, actors, film scholars and film critics, screenwriters, teachers, heads of state and private companies in the field of film and media, festival organizers. The expert council may also include representatives of organizations whose activities are aimed at the development of the Far East.
The number of members of the council: from 5 people. A new composition of the Expert Council of the Far Eastern Film Awards is formed every year.
