Cinemed

Montpellier International Festival of Mediterranean Film.

About

Founded in 1979, the Montpellier International Festival of Mediterranean Film (Festival international du cinéma méditerranéen de Montpellier) is aimed at promoting cultural knowledge of cinema from the Mediterranean basin, the Black Sea, Portugal and Armenia.

In a spirit of tolerance, the event facilitates exchanges, symposia and studies of the common features which link these film-making traditions.

The Montpellier Festival has always supported the dissemination of Mediterranean cinema to a French and European public and has set up a competition with international juries to promote award-winning fiction features and shorts.
