Festival of Street Cartoons

About

Festival of Street Cartoons" - a competition for finding young talented animators, where the members of jury are the directors of the world famous film studio "Soyuzmultfilm", as well as teachers-animators of the oldest creative university in the country VGIK.

In the summer of 2020 Moscow schoolchildren were invited to take part in an online festival of street cartoons. During all three warm months, children who were left in the city due to the pandemic or who spent time in the village, in the country, created cartoons using gadgets. By the fall, the organizing committee of the festival received more than a hundred videos created in different techniques, on sports themes, cartoons about the history and culture of the mother land.

The project was supported by the Department of Education and Science, as well as the Department of Mass Media and Advertising of the city of Moscow. Many publications were published on the websites of federal media (links below). Such interest on the part of families and schoolchildren in the festival, support of «Soyuzmultfilm» studio and VGIK gave us faith and conviction that the project is worth continuing. In 2021 children and teenagers under 18 years old citizens of over the world can participate in online street cartoon fest.

 

Awards

The winners of the Festival will receive electronic personalized diplomas, an animation course for 5 lessons from Film Studio "Soyuzmultfilm".

Rules

Applications for the Street Cartoon Festival are accepted until October 31, 2021.

CARTOON REQUIREMENTS

1. MP4 format (standard smartphone recording format). A cartoon can be created using ordinary shooting and subsequent editing in any mobile editor;

2. Duration up to 5 minutes;

3. Cartoons must be filmed no earlier than 2021;

4. In the application, you must indicate your contact information: name, school, class with a letter, e-mail, phone.
