ATLANTIDOC

About

It takes place annually with the aim of presenting a panorama of new documentary productions, bringing to our country the best and most diverse materials of the genre, as well as the training of good documentary filmmakers in the region, as we have been doing since the first edition of the festival, with good success. The programming criteria is based on the quality of the works, with quality being understood as the virtues of form and content presented by the documentaries. The experience of these years has been very positive and Atlantidoc already has a place of consideration among all documentary filmmakers in the world, recognising it as the only festival of its kind in Uruguay. It highlights the works of young filmmakers while giving an important space to outstanding documentary filmmakers from all over the world. And each year it promotes quality content from the history of the genre, both in Uruguay and around the world.

• BEST DOCUMENTARY SERIES AWARD
• BEST SHORT FILM AWARD, Ferruccio Musitelli Award.
• MONTEVIDEO INTENDENCIA DE MONTEVIDEO AWARD to the best Uruguyan project of the WIP.
• ACCU AWARD to the best documentary, Ronald Melzer Award.
• SIGNIS AWARD to the best documentary of the festival, María Blanca Pígola Award.

Rules

• Productions with the following characteristics will be admitted: documentaries to be screened in digital format, duration between 5 and 100 minutes, completed as of September 2023.
• The selected documentaries will be screened in their original version but all of them need subtitling in Spanish language, when their language is another one.
