About

Asiana International Short Film Festival (AISFF) is the first and largest international competitive short film festival in Korea. AISFF, searching a new territory and exit for short film, is the place where all the shorts from the world are coming across, communicating and of course fairly competing. Amazingly with its short period of time, 2,173 films from 90 countries were competed last year, which has been showing an infinite potentiality of AISFF and its new current on short film world in near future. 

Asiana International Short Film Festival consists of international competitive program and non-competitive special program:

• International Competition (open to all the international short filmmakers);
• In-flight screenings of the selected films in "In the Air Program".

Awards

International competition:

• Grand Prize — 15 million Won (approx. USD 15 000), a trophy, 2 round trip flight tickets (Business Class)
• Special Jury Award — 5 million Won (approx. USD 5000), a trophy
• AISFF Rock Award — 3 million Won (approx. USD 3000), a trophy
• KAFA Award — 3 million Won (approx. USD 3000), a trophy
• AISFF Public Jury Award — 1 million Won (approx. USD 1000), a trophy
• Face in Shorts Award — 1 million Won (approx. USD 1000), a trophy

Rules

• Short filmsproduced after June 2020, in any type or genre of fiction/non-fiction, animation/live action film with maximum 30 minutes in length.
• For all submissions, only Korean Premiere must be accepted. 

Documents and Other Requisite Items:

• Resister your film at shortfilmdepot.com or festhome.com and upload the preview. (The preview copy must be the same version as the print or the video to be screened at the festival)
• Synopsis
• Director’s bio & filmography
• Director's statement - 1 photo of the director(s) (Image files must be over 300 dpi)
• At least 3 stills (Image files must be over 300dpi)
• Dialogue list (Original language & English) (The original language in Chinese, Japanese, and French should be required.)
• The list of previous festival screenings and awards 
• Other promotional materials: press kit, poster, soundtrack, etc. (optional)

Screening Media Type: 35mm film, DCP files, Beta (NTSC), Digi-Beta (NTSC), HD, and MOV files

Premiere Requirements

National premiere required.
