Khabarovsk II International Animation Filmfestival "Animur"

Review of professional animation of the countries of the Asia-Pacific region.

About

The festival will run from September 28 to October 01? 2023. Watching professional Russian and foreign animation will focus on short films and animated series from the countries of the Asia-Pacific region and South-East Asia.
The festival program includes the best examples of foreign animation from the Asia-Pacific countries, South-East Asia and Russian animation; present animation as one of the most modern and dynamically developing art forms; will bring together industry professionals and government officials to discuss the prospects for the development of the animation creative industry in the region and help form a new generation of animators in the Far East.

Applications for the festival will be accepted until June 15, 2023. The competition programs accept short animated films and episodes of animated series created since 2021. The out-of-competition program will include screenings of full-length cartoons, animation works by festival guests, retrospectives, collections of films from different countries of the Asia-Pacific region and South-East Asia, master classes, creative meetings, and more.

The international jury of the festival will include professionals in animation art, representatives of the international animation community, professionals in the field - artists, directors, producers. Experts will award prizes to films and series of different age categories: cartoons for children, schoolchildren, teenagers and adults. Separately will be awarded the People's Choice Award and Award of the Festival Directorate.

The director of the Animur festival is the chairman of the board of the Khabarovsk regional non-government organization for development of animation – Alexandra Dubovskaya. The president is Sergey Merinov, russian cartoonist, director-animator, executive of the author's animation school. Program director - film critic Alena Sycheva.

The main event of the business program will be the round table “Current Strategies for Promoting Russian Content Abroad in the Context of Sanctions”. Creation of a film market within the framework of the Animur festival, in which representatives of regional and federal departments are invited.
 

Awards

Based on the results of their work, the jury awards the following prizes: 
• Grand Prix for the best animated film 
• Special Jury Prize 
• Prize for the best professional animated film in the age category 0+ 
• Prize for the best professional animated film in the age category 6+ 
• Prize for the best professional animated film in the age category 12+ 
• Prize for the best professional animated film in the age category 18+ 
• Prize for the best episode of a series for children (under 12 years old) 
• Prize for the best episode of a series for teenagers (over 12 years old)

Other prizes 
• Audience Choice Award (all competitions) 
• Prize of the Directorate of the Festival (all competitions)

Rules

•There is no fee for submitting a film to the Festival competition. 
•Films selected for the competition will be screened free of screening fees. 
• Films selected for the competition can be shown within the competition programs no more than 5 times on the territory of the Khabarovsk Territory within 4 days during the days of the festival. 
• The festival does not impose any restrictions on the film in terms of premiere status or its availability on the Internet. 
• The festival covers the cost of accommodation of non-resident participants of the festival's competitive programs in a hotel, no more than 4 nights on the days of the festival.
